Josue Gabriel

Dr. Gabriel returns to the Bonutti Clinic with his subspecialty practice in orthopedic spine surgery. He previously served in Effingham from 2002-2004 at the Bonutti Clinic.  In the interim, he was Assistant Professor and Director, Division of Spine Surgery, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at The Ohio State University. His practice focus has been advancing his techniques in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.

Dr. Gabriel earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  He completed his general surgery internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Gabriel also received a post-graduate fellowship in Cervical Laminoplasty techniques at Universities of Osaka, Hirosaki, and Chiba in Japan. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at Case Western Reserve University Department of Orthopedics Surgery under Dr. Henry Bohlman.

Dr. Gabriel and his wife Rebecca, and their three children are excited about their return to Effingham.  Please join us in welcoming back Dr. Gabriel to the Effingham community!
