Founder's Statement

In 1989, I founded the Bonutti Clinic in Effingham to fulfill my goal of bringing world-class clinical care and orthopedic surgical expertise to a historically underserved area of the country. I am very proud and profoundly grateful to report that, over the years, the clinic has attracted patients and physicians from all over the world while providing for the community's medical needs and serving as a prominent employer. We have grown from just three employees to more than 170, including individuals who work at the clinic as well as those who serve the patient care businesses that have spun off from it.

Minimally invasive surgical techniques and instrumentation continue to be a major focus for research at the Bonutti Clinic and its sister companies. We are committed to continuing to advance orthopedic health through the unique combination of research at Bonutti Technologies and clinical practice at the Bonutti Clinic. It is very important to me personally that the clinic's patients are among the primary beneficiaries of our work.
